A brief explanation of our most common services.

Geriatric Psychiatry

Geriatric Psychiatry

Geriatric psychiatry (or geropsychiatry) is a subspecialty focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and emotional disorders in older adults. These specialists address complex needs—including dementiadepression, and delirium—by managing the interplay between physical illnesses, age-related changes, and psychological health, often using a “start low, go slow” medication approach.

Adult Psychiatry

Adult Psychiatry

Adult psychiatry is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health disorders in individuals typically aged 18 and older. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who utilize a combination of medication management, psychotherapy, and, in some cases, specialized treatments like ECT to treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and PTSD.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in children, teenagers, and their families. These specialized physicians (child psychiatrists) assess biological, psychological, and social factors to treat conditions like anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, and trauma.

Psychiatry Preceptorship Program

Psychiatry Preceptorship Program

A Psychiatry Preceptorship Program provides Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or medical students with supervised, hands-on clinical experience, focusing on diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health disorders across the lifespan. These programs bridge classroom learning with practice in outpatient, inpatient, or telehealth settings, allowing students to refine psychiatric assessment and medication management skills under expert mentorship.

Animal Support Letters

Animal Support Letters

An Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letter is a legal document written by a licensed mental health professional (LMHP) confirming that an individual has a mental health disability and that a specific animal is part of their treatment plan. It provides housing rights under the Fair Housing Act (FHA).
A person qualifies for an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letter when a licensed mental health professional (LMHP), such as a therapist or psychiatrist, diagnoses them with a mental health disability or condition, such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD, and determines that the animal’s presence provides necessary therapeutic support.

Primary Care and Social Worker Collaborations

Primary Care and Social Worker Collaborations
